About me

My name is Michał Drapała and I am an attorney specializing in inheritance cases across the entire territory of Poland.
I understand how challenging inheritance matters can be – especially for people living
abroad who need to resolve legal issues in Poland without being able to come in person. My role is to
handle all the formalities for you, so that you can focus on your life –
no matter where in the world you currently live.
I graduated in law from the Jagiellonian University and completed my attorney training
at the Bar Association in Warsaw. Before starting my legal practice, I co-managed a car dealership for 15 years – an experience that taught me organization, precision, and responsibility. Today, I apply those same qualities when handling my clients’ cases.

How can I help you?

I provide comprehensive assistance in inheritance cases – both for clients living in Poland and those residing abroad.
Specifically, I can:
– handle the confirmation of inheritance before a court or notary,
– carry out the division of the estate and termination of co-ownership,
– assist in pursuing or defending against claims for a reserved share (legitim),
– submit a declaration on your behalf to accept or reject the inheritance – also on behalf of
minors,
– advise on and draft a will, as well as represent you in disputes regarding its validity,
– manage the sale of your inheritance share or inherited property so that you can quickly and
securely convert it into cash – transferred directly to your bank account.
Thanks to a notarized power of attorney, I can handle all of these actions on your behalf in
Poland – without the need for you to travel.

Costs – transparent and no surprises

Every inheritance case is different – it varies in complexity, the number of heirs,
the composition of the estate, or potential disputes. That’s why there is no universal price list.

However, I can tell you two things:

  1. Before we begin working together, you will know exactly how much your case will cost
    within the agreed scope.     I clearly present the terms and the fee amount before taking any action.
  2. The financial arrangements between me and the client are fully transparent. There are no hidden fees or surprises – we agree on a specific amount or billing method, and I stick to it.

I know that inheritance matters often come with a significant emotional burden, which is why I strive to make all financial aspects as clear as possible, so they don’t weigh on your mind. You focus on solving the problem, and I make sure that the entire process – including the costs – is as simple and fair as possible.

And privately?

I prefer to rest actively – in the mountains, on ski touring trails, or while climbing (though I remain very much an “eternal amateur” – but I truly enjoy it). In the summer, I value time spent by the sea or out on the water, feeling the wind and the waves. It’s this balance between work and passion that gives me the energy to guide my clients, step by step, to a safe and successful outcome of their case.

I speak Polish and English, and – thanks to my passion for Mediterranean culture – I’ve also picked up a pretty decent level of Italian along the way. That’s why working with international clients isn’t a challenge for me – it’s a real pleasure.
